I absolutely love Honey Ham during the holiday season but like anything, I wanted to elevate it! I decided to add bourbon and oranges to my glaze to make this ham very memorable. Not only does this ham have amazing flavor, I’ll also teach you how to ensure it stays nice and moist!
This ham recipe is perfect for the holidays but honestly, I like to make this all year round. It pairs wonderfully with my Mac & cheese recipe, or even my cornbread recipe.
Why everyone loves this Bourbon Orange Honey Ham
- It’s Juicy- Everyone complains about dry turkey, but dry ham is also very common. Ham cooks pre-cooked, so really, your just heating it up. This recipe ensures the ham keeps all of its juices!
- The flavor is unique- While many people are use to traditional honey ham, the bourbon and the Orange really upgrade the flavors and create a perfect balance of sweet and savort
- It’s Easy- Hands down, this is my easiest Thanksgiving recipe. I can make this recipe with my eyes closed!
Tips for making the perfect ham
- Use the proper cooking vessel- You’ll want to trap the moisture in the ham so you’ll need a large enough cooking pan to do so. I recommend using a roasting pan.
- Cover your ham tight– I wrap my ham really tight with aluminum foil that way all of the moisture stays locked in as your heating it up
- Reduce your sauce- After you’ve glazed your ham, heat up the rest of your sauce and use it as a glaze!
- Decorate!– Decorate anf garnish your ham with oranges, rosemary or even pineapple!

Omg what an underrated hit! I was scared how it was going to turn out but then I remembered whose recipe this was and knew Toni would never fail me! It was such a good combo of sweet and smoky with a touch of orange (usually I always have pineapple on Ham for the holidays but now it’s going to be oranges) Thank you Toni for all the trial and error you do to perfect these recipes for us!
I love love love Toni’s recipes I use them every thanksgiving
Made this Ham for a family dinner, and it was such a hit! The glaze is absolutely incredible! Can’t wait to make it again for the holidays
I made it and that glaze is amazing! My ham was a little dry because someone argued that it’s supposed to 10 or more min per pound even for precooked and google backed that up. So we split the difference between that and the suggested 30 minutes. Should’ve trusted in Toni! Still gave 5 stars because it’s still a good ham and that glaze just divine!
