Servings: 6
- 1 rack of baby back or st louis cut ribs (about 3 pounds)
- 1/4 cup mustard dijon or yellow
- 1/2 cup bbq rub seasoning
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- BBQ sauce (your favorite sauce)
Prep the Ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
Season the Ribs: In a bowl, mix the rib rub and brown sugar.
Coat with Mustard: Rub mustard all over the ribs—this helps the seasoning stick and tenderizes the meat.
Add the Rub: Sprinkle the brown sugar and rib rub mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs, pressing it in with your hands.
Bake: Place the ribs on a lined baking sheet, meat side up. Cover with foil (completely wrap the ribs) and bake at 350°F for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Broil: Remove the foil, baste with plenty of bbq sauce and cook at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes to get a nice caramelized finish.
