For the peach syrup:
- 5 ripe peaches sliced
- 3/4-1 cup granulated sugar depending on the sweetness of your peaches
- 1/2 cup water
- Pinch of kosher salt
For the lemonade:
- 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 5 cups cold water
- Ice for serving
Make the peach syrup: Add the peaches, sugar, water, and salt to a blender. Blend until completely smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve, pressing with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.
Make the lemonade: Add the peach syrup to a large pitcher or beverage dispenser. Add the lemon juice and cold water. Stir well and refrigerate until chilled.
Serve: Fill the glasses with ice and garnish with peach slices and lemon wheels.
- Taste before adding all the sugar. Start with 3/4 cup, then add more if needed depending on how sweet your peaches are.
- Chill before serving. For the best flavor, refrigerate the lemonade for at least 1 hour before serving over ice.
- Party Bucket Tip: For a fun summer party or cookout, pour the lemonade into a clean, food-safe party bucket or beverage dispenser filled with ice. Garnish with peach slices and lemon wheels, then set out cups and a lade so guests can serve themselves.
- Make it your own. For adults, set out sparkling water, vodka, or bourbon so guests can customize their drinks.
