Before the day is over I wanted to wish my dad a very happy birthday. My dad is a huge part of the love I have for cooking so if you love my recipes, I owe him credit. Our relationship isn’t special because you raised me as a single father, it’s special because we grew up together…We’ve experienced life together, and our bond is very sacred and I’m eternally greatful. I am a passionate, fierce, POWER house because you taught me never to settle for anything other than excellence and to always work hard and to be the best. Being raised by you, has been an honor. I truly feel lucky to learn, laugh, and call you my best friend and my dad. Thanks @cbsmiami for having me on this morning! I posted a recipe on my blog about how to make an entire Thanksgiving Dinner for under $25 that feeds 6-8 comfortably. I shopped smart, and didn’t have to compromise on flavor! While I love teaching you guys how to make delicious popular holiday favorites, I also want to share those same options in an affordable, budget-friendly way so that everyone can enjoy them! Mystery box me PLEASE! Your girl is always up for a challenge so when @montchevre sent me a box of random ingredients and asked me to work my magic - that’s what I did! I made these bacon & caramelized onion crostinis with fresh basil and of course the STAR of the show, Montchevre’s delicious goat cheese! I used their garlic & herb goat cheese and ended up snacking on the honey goat cheese as I cooked. LOL! Thanks Montchevre for this challenge. These were delicious and definitely a staple in my home now. How did I do guys? #makersofmischiefandcheese #ad
