How to make Oreo Ice Cream Sandwiches Step-by-Step

1. Crush your Oreos!

I like to use a rolling pin to do this! You can also use a blender!

2. Mix Oreos with melted butter

Take 3/4 of the crushed Oreo cookies and mix them with melted butter to create the top and bottom layers of the sandwiches.

Make your filling

Whip together whipped cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla until light and fluffy, then fold in the rest of your crushed Oreos.

Assemble your Icecream Sandwiches

Spread half of the melted butter and Oreo mixture the bottom of the pan. Use your knuckles to smooth it into an even layer and press down to form a crust. Next, add the ice cream filling, and finish by adding another layer of crushed Oreos on top to complete the crust!

Ingredients 

  • 2 14.3 ounce pack of Oreos about 64 Oreos! Yeah I said it!
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 14 oz can sweet condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 6 tbsps unsalted butter

Instructions 

  1. Begin by crushing your Oreos using a ziplock bag and rolling pin, or a blender. Crush the Oreos uniformly into small pieces. Set aside 1/2 cup for later.
  2. Mix the remaining crushed Oreos and melted butter in a large bowl to create a thick mixture. Spread half of the melted butter and Oreo mixture onto the bottom of a parchment-lined 8×8 pan. Use your knuckles or the bottom of a mug to press the Oreo mixture to form a crust. Then, set it aside.
  3. With a hand mixer on high speed, whip 2 cups of heavy cream in a large bowl for 1 minute until fluffy, then fold in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla.
  4. Next, spread the ice cream filling over the crust in the pan, and finish by adding another layer of crushed Oreos on top to complete the crust!
  5. Freeze for 8 hours, then cut into 6 equal pieces
