Grilled peaches with ice cream is a delicious dessert for summer! Warm, caramelized peaches are topped with cool and creamy vanilla ice cream to create the perfect amount of sweetness in every single bite.

Fresh peaches are a delicious summer fruit. The sweet and slightly tangy flavor of peaches pairs well with the warm flavors of the brown sugar or a drizzle of honey. The grill adds a subtle smokiness to the peaches and also brings out their natural sweetness. This creates juicy, tender peaches that are light and refreshing.

Quick and Easy Grilled Peaches 🍑
For the best dessert during grilling season, it doesn’t get any easier than grilled peaches. The entire recipe comes together in under 15 minutes and the result is a fruity, juicy and satisfying sweet treat.
Here are just a few reasons I know you’ll love them:
- Quick and easy: This grilled peaches recipe requires minimal prep and ingredients. They also cook on the grill in under 10 minutes.
- Anyone can make them: As long as you know how to work a grill, you can make this recipe. No fancy tools or baking skills are needed to create fresh and delicious grilled peaches.
- Perfect for everyone: The entire family will love these peaches. You can serve them on their own or with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, or even some granola.
Ingredients You Need
You only need a handful of ingredients to make this recipe. You probably already have most of the ingredients in your kitchen.
NOTE: The full list of ingredients with measurements is provided in the recipe card below.

- Fresh Peaches: Best during the summer season when they are in season, but you can make this recipe year-round. You will need ripe, but firm peaches. You can use yellow peaches or white peaches. Use freestone peaches, if you can find then, since the pit will separate easily from the flesh.
Chef’s TIP
Use firm but ripe peaches: They are sweeter and the flavor will be better. But you want to make sure they are firm enough so they won’t fall apart on the grill.
- Brown Sugar: Dark brown sugar is best for flavor, but you can use light brown sugar, if needed. You can even substitute with honey or maple syrup.
- Unsalted Butter: The butter adds flavor and helps the peaches cook on the grill. Combined with the brown sugar, it creates a caramelized texture on the outside of the grilled peaches.
- Ground Cinnamon (optional): While the cinnamon is optional, it adds a nice warm flavor that pairs well with fresh peaches.
- Flaky Sea Salt: I love adding flaky sea salt to grille peaches because it adds just a kick of salty flavor. You can omit, if desired.
- Vanilla Ice Cream: The perfect addition to grilled peaches. You can serve with another flavor of ice cream, if desired.
How to Make Grilled Peaches
Make these grilled peaches for dessert in under 15 minutes.
Chef’s TIP
Remove the peach pits: The easiest way to remove peach its is the same way you would remove an avocado pit. Cut the peaches in half and twist the halves in the opposite direction to release from the pit. Remove the stone pit with the tip of a knife.
- Prepare for grilling: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Make the glaze: In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and stir in 2 tablespoons brown sugar.
- Grill the peaches: Use a pastry brush to brush the cut side of the peaches with the brown sugar mixture and place the cut-side down on the grill. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until they have nice grill marks and the peaches soften slightly.
- Flip and finish: Use tongs to turn the peaches over, brush with more glaze, sprinkle with the remaining brown sugar (if you want extra sweetness) and grill for another 2 minutes.

- Finish and serve: Sprinkle the grilled peaches with a little flaky sea salt and serve warm on their own or with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream. (Other serving suggestions are below.)
Chef’s TIP
Serve the peaches hot for the best texture and flavor. The hot peaches with the cool ice cream is the perfect match. It’s warm and comforting, but cool and satisfying.
What If I Don’t Have a Grill?
If you don’t have an outdoor grill, you can make grilled peaches on the stove top or in the air fryer.
- Stove Top: You can follow the instructions for grilling, but use a cast iron grill pan on the stove instead.
- Air Fryer: To air fry the peaches, preheat your air fryer to 350°F. Brush the cut peaches with the brown sugar butter and place flat side down in the air fryer. Air fry for 5 minutes, then flip and continue cooking for 2 to 3 additional minutes.
Serving Suggestions
While the peaches taste amazing served on their own, I love serving them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the perfect summer dessert. If you want to really elevate the flavor and texture, you can add your own special toppings.
- Sprinkle with sliced or chopped nuts: Sliced almonds, chopped pecans, chopped walnuts or your favorite type of nut adds crunch to the peaches.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce: If you’re looking for more sweet flavor, drizzle some caramel sauce over the ice cream and peaches.
- Serve with Greek yogurt: If you are looking for a lighter option that is high in protein, serve the juicy peaches with plain or vanilla Greek yogurt. The tart flavor of the yogurt pairs well with the peaches.
- Serve with whipped cream or mascarpone: Instead of ice cream, you can serve the peaches with whipped cream or a dollop of mascarpone, or add whipped cream to the top of the ice cream for the ultimate fruit sundae.
- Add some granola: Serve the grilled peaches and ice cream with some granola for additional texture and crunch. This is also a great way to enjoy the peaches for breakfast.
- Garnish with fresh mint or basil: Elevate the presentation and create a well-rounded summertime dessert by adding fresh mint leaves or fresh basil.
